Stimpson J. Cat, typically referred to as Stimpy, is a central character in the animated Nickelodeon series The Ren & Stimpy Show. Created by John Kricfalusi, Stimpy debuted alongside Ren in the short film "Big House Blues" which was then spun off into a full series in 1991.

Stimpy is a rotund, good-natured, and dim-witted red and white cat with a perpetually goofy grin and a fondness for inventing things and indulging in his own bizarre interests. He contrasts sharply with his partner, Ren Hoek, a neurotic and often abusive chihuahua.

Voiced primarily by Billy West, Stimpy's naive optimism and loyalty to Ren are recurring themes. Despite Ren's mistreatment, Stimpy's unwavering affection and simple worldview often drive the show's humor and pathos. He is known for his signature catchphrases like "Oh, joy!" and "Happy happy, joy joy!".
